Privacy
Your family's data, kept quietly.
Last updated: 8 June 2026
Kith is a private tool for coordinating daily life at home — between parents and the nanny who helps care for the children. The information you put in is sensitive, and we treat it that way. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Who we are
Kith ("we", "us") provides the Kith household app at kithdays.com and app.kithdays.com. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@kithdays.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to enter, plus the minimum needed to run the service:
- Account details — your email and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text). If you sign in with Google, your email and basic profile.
- Family profiles — names, roles (parent, co-parent, nanny), and optional details you add such as a child's date of birth, dietary needs, allergies, and a profile photo.
- Daily content — meals and menus, activities, tasks, the daily diary (notes, moods, photos, sleep/feed logs for little ones), messages between parents and the nanny, and milestones.
- Household & pay — home address and emergency contacts you enter, and pay-related figures (rate, hours, leave, any loan) used to track the nanny's salary.
- Technical data — basic information your device sends (browser type, and a push-notification token if you turn on notifications) so the app works reliably.
Children's information
Kith is used by adults — parents and nannies — to coordinate the care of children. Any information about a child is entered by the parents who control the account, and is visible only to the people in that family (the parents and their nanny). We do not knowingly let children create their own accounts, and we never use children's information for advertising or share it for any commercial purpose.
How we use it
- To run the app — show the day's plan, sync it between a family's members, and keep your content available across devices.
- To send the notifications and emails you've asked for (e.g. a new task, a published menu, the daily recap, account emails like sign-up confirmation or password reset).
- To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems when they happen.
- Product analytics — we log in-app activity (including the nanny's) such as which features are used, sessions and time spent, tied to your family, to understand the experience and improve Kith. This is for product analytics only — never advertising.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles for marketing.
Who can see your data
Your family's content is private to the members of your family. A nanny only sees the family that invited them. Co-parents see the shared family. We don't make your content visible to other users.
Service providers we rely on
We use a small set of trusted providers to operate Kith. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication (stores your account and content).
- Railway — hosts our application server.
- Vercel — hosts the website and app front-end.
- Resend — sends transactional and notification emails.
Where data is stored & how long
Your data is stored on our providers' secured cloud infrastructure. We keep it while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your family's content; some minimal records may be retained briefly where required for security or legal reasons, then deleted.
Security
Access to your family's data is restricted to your family's authenticated members through database access rules. Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, modern measures to protect your information.
Your choices & rights
- Access & correction — you can view and edit your profiles and content directly in the app.
- Notifications — you control which notifications and emails you receive in Settings.
- Deletion — email hello@kithdays.com to request deletion of your account and your family's data.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email.
